Can Mirrors Be Recycled? (Infographic)

Many people are not aware of the fact that mirrors can be decorative pieces for the blank spaces in the home or in businesses. In fact, aside from being just an artistic piece, it also gives benefits to the room, such as making it appear bigger and brighter, at the same time.

However, mirrors are hard to produce and even harder to dispose and recycle. In fact, most municipal waste collection services require you to take special steps when you throw away old mirrors. If the glass breaks, it becomes a hazard to waste workers, so it’s important to dispose of mirrors of all sizes safely.

Unfortunately, broken glass is not recyclable. For one, window glass, mirrors and light bulbs contain chemicals that make them unsuitable for reuse at your recycling plant.
